Quest Scraper ("the Extension") is a Chrome extension designed to help users extract job posting
information from job listing websites and send it to their personal Quest application for job
search tracking purposes.
This Privacy Policy explains what information the Extension collects, how it is used, and your rights
regarding this information.
Information We Collect
The Extension collects the following types of information:

Configuration Data
Server URL: The address of your personal Quest server where job data is sent
We do NOT collect: Personal identification information, health information,
financial information, authentication credentials, personal communications, precise location data,
browsing history, or user activity tracking data.
How We Use Information
The collected job posting information is used exclusively to:
Display extracted job data in the extension popup for user review
Send job data to the user's personal Quest server upon explicit user action
Help users organize and track their job applications
Data Storage
Local Storage: Your server URL configuration is stored locally in your browser
using Chrome's storage API. This data never leaves your device except when making API requests
to your configured server.
Temporary Cache: Extracted job data is temporarily cached locally until you
send it to your server or close the extension.
Your Server: When you click "Send to Quest", the job data is transmitted to
the server URL you have configured. Data storage on your server is governed by your own server's
policies.
Data Sharing
We do NOT sell, trade, or transfer your data to third parties.
Job data is only sent to the server URL that you explicitly configure in the extension settings.
This is typically your own personal Quest server instance.
Data Security
We implement appropriate security measures:
All data transmission uses HTTPS encryption when communicating with your server
No data is sent to any external servers controlled by us
The extension requests only the minimum permissions necessary for its functionality
User Rights and Control
You have full control over your data:
Review: You can see all extracted data in the extension popup before sending
Delete: Clear browser data or uninstall the extension to remove all local data
Configure: You control where data is sent by setting your server URL
Opt-out: Simply don't click "Send" to prevent data transmission
